Eligibility for Research Study Assignments
The Research studies are assigned to eligible applicants who are working on long-term projects requiring extensive use of library materials.
During the academic year, only people affiliated with the University of Connecticut are considered to be eligible. During June-August, as space is available, a limited number of assignments may be made to people who are not affiliated with the University.
STUDENTS
Any applicant who is a student must be officially registered with the University.
Undergraduate students must be enrolled in the Honors Program and also be working on their senior thesis. Undergraduate students must have their advisor sign their application.
Master's students must have passed all comprehensive or general examinations required by the program and also be working on a thesis.
Doctoral students must have passed all comprehensive or general examinations required by the program and also be working on a dissertation.
All graduate students must have their applications signed by their department head.
FACULTY AND PROFESSIONAL STAFF
Any applicant who is a member of the teaching or professional staff must be on the current university payroll, have retired from employment at the University of Connecticut, or be affiliated with a department as a visiting scholar.
The applicant must have no other officially assigned study facilities.
