- Medline/PubMed - The premier database of world biomedical literature on clinical medicine and preclinical research. From the National Library of Medicine. Preferred access is through the PubMed version. (1966+)
- SciFinder Scholar - Full access to Chemical Abstracts, the comprehensive database to world literature on all aspects of chemistry, including biochemistry. Software must be downloaded to individual computers. 1967+
- Web of Science - a multidisciplinary database indexing and abstracting journals in the sciences, social sciences, arts and humanities. An excellent source for citation searching. Coverage in the sciences is particularly strong, and this database should be included in any comprehensive search. 1994+ (go to Science Citation Index for earlier years)
