- AGRICOLA - A comprehensive source of U.S. agriculture and other life science information. From the U.S. National Agricultural Library. Via Silver Platter (1970+) and Agricola (1979+). Silver Platter is the preferred method of access.
- Aquatic Sciences & Fisheries Abstracts (ASFA) (via CSA) - World literature in the science, technology and management of marine and freshwater environments. Contains three sections: Biological Sciences and Living Resources (1978+); Aquaculture Abstracts (1984+); and Marine Biotechnology Abstracts (1989+).
- Biosis Previews - the premier database of world biology literature, a primary source for any biology-related search. 1969+
- CAB Direct - Comprehensive coverage of agriculture and allied disciplines, including animal, dairy and veterinary sciences, entomology, and plant sciences. From the British Commonwealth Agricultural Bureau. (1973+)
- Medline/ PubMed - The premier database of world biomedical literature on clinical medicine and preclinical research. From the National Library of Medicine. Preferred access is through the PubMed version. (1966+)
- SciFinder Scholar - Full access to Chemical Abstracts, the comprehensive database to world literature on all aspects of chemistry, including biochemistry. Software must be downloaded to individual computers, and access is limited to evenings and weekends. 1967+
- Web
of Science - a multidisciplinary database indexing and abstracting journals
in the sciences, social sciences, arts and humanities. An excellent source
for citation searching. Coverage in the sciences is particularly strong, and
this database should be included in any comprehensive search. 1994+ (go to
