University of Connecticut | UCHC Borrowing & Proxy Server Privileges
The following UConn personnel have borrowing and proxy server privileges at the Lyman Maynard Stowe Library of the UConn Health Center.
- All UConn faculty, graduate students, professional staff.
- UConn undergraduate students in the Schools of Allied Health, Nursing, Pharmacy, and the Department of Nutritional Sciences (within the School of Agriculture).
Register first to obtain a UCHC library barcode. Registrations expire in May each year, at which time the registration process must be repeated.
Borrowing privileges are limited to circulating materials. A valid UConn photo ID must be presented at the time of transaction.
UCHC proxy server privileges enable users to access most, but not all, UCHC databases and online journals.
Users situated on a UConn campus may have difficulty using UCHC's EZProxy. As a work-around, users can follow UConn's automatic proxy instructions.
However, where instructed to enter http://proxy.uconn.edu:3000/proxy.pac, users need to substitute http://homealone.uchc.edu/proxy.pac.
When prompted, users should enter their UCHC barcode as both their User ID and password.
Access to the UCHC proxy server is currently unavailable from within the UConn Libraries.
