Video Theater 1
Video Theater 1 Facilities
Video Theater 1 seats up to 36 people with additional spacing for wheelchairs.
The teaching station includes media equipment that supports viewing US and multiregional videos
and DVDs.
The station houses a computer that supplies internet access. In addition,
desktop cables are provided for connecting either PC or Mac laptops.
A Document Camera is included in this set-up and allows for writing
on opaque materials as well as transparencies. |

The Homer Babbidge Library provides multimedia projection services in
two video theaters. Video Theater 1 and Video Theater 2 are located on
Level 2 of UCONN's Homer Babbidge Library. View

Donations from UCONN's Alumni Classes of 1951 and 1953 refurbished Video
Theater 1 and Video Theater 2 with the latest multimedia technology.
This equipment provides state-of-the-art systems for handling and
understanding audio, video and computer resources in non-traditional formats.
The two theaters represent our commitment to the integration of alternative
avenues of higher learning into the mainstream of intellectual activity.
All UCONN faculty and academic
programs are encouraged to use the updated Video Theaters. Assistance in the use of the Theater equipment will be managed by the IT Support Services Desk on Level 1; by phone at 486-5949.

The teaching station includes media equipment that supports viewing US and multiregional videos and DVDs.
A Document Camera is included in this set-up and allows for writing on opaque materials as well as transparencies.
For ease of notetaking, overhead lighting is available on dimmers.
Microphones are also available. |
