Beth is responsible for selecting books, journals and electronic resources; providing in-depth research assistance and library instruction; and acting as the advocate within the Avery Point Library for all Undergraduate Programs at the University of Connecticut Avery Point Campus.

Library Instruction - request general orientation, course-related instruction, and focused research training. Group and individual training sessions are available by appointment. For group sessions, please contact the liaison at least 2 weeks in advance.
Library Instruction for Students

Research Assistance - request help in selecting appropriate resources, performing database searches, or locating relevant materials at other institutions.

Citation Assistance - request help in verifying citations for publications, bibliographies, or Interlibrary Loan orders.

New Materials Requests - suggest titles to be added to the Libraries' collection.

Background

Beth received her B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Fine Arts from Santa Clara University and has done graduate work in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling at the University of San Diego. She also holds an M.L.S. from Southern Connecticut State University, and has spent more than 18 years working in academic libraries including Eastern Connecticut State University, University of San Diego, University of Connecticut, United States Coast Guard Academy and Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts. She is the sole proprietor of a library insourcing business, Rumery Contemporary Cataloging.
